SWIM LESSONS REFUND POLICY
Program fees are refunded only upon receipt of a written request and under the following conditions:
The YMCA understands that there are events that come up that conflict with YMCA programming and therefore provides an opportunity to cancel or change current program registrations. To cancel and request a credit/refund, please fill out the form below. All credits/refunds must be requested and approved by the Program Director.
All approved credits expire after one (1) year.
FULL CREDIT/REFUND
- Granted for all programs if request is submitted at least 72 hours prior to the start of the program/class.
- Granted if the YMCA cancels the entire program/class session (does not apply to individual snow/rain day cancellations).
AFTER THE FIRST CLASS NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN. This schedule applies whether you attend the class or not.
MEDICAL REFUND REQUEST
If for any medical reason you cannot continue the program, you can be credited. A doctor’s note must accompany your request for program credit. Requests must be made for half of the session or more.
SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES
If the Y must cancel a class completely due to chemical imbalances, contamination in the pool, or due to inclement weather (thunder/lightening, snow), no partial credits/refunds are given. If the schedule allows every attempt will be made to make-up cancelled classes.
Aquatic Director has final say on child’s swim level placement. If a child is registered for the incorrect swim level, they may be removed from the class. The Aquatic Director will try to place the child in the appropriate level but due to student/instructor ratios and the safety of the participants, it is not always possible. Refunds will not be given if the child is in the incorrect level and/or misses the first week of the session.
