The Somerville YMCA has been selected  to participate in the 2021 Assembly Row “Deck the Cause” holiday tree program.  We were chosen as one of six local non profits to decorate a twelve foot tall outdoor tree located at Assembly Row.  The “Deck the Cause” program will run from December 1st -31st.  The winning tree will receive up to $5000 in donations.  There are two ways to win…

People’s Choice Donation – Come December 31 – the tree that receives the most votes via on-site QR code voting will receive our “People’s Choice” donation of $2,500

Judge’s Choice Donation – The designated team of judges will decide on their collective favorite tree design; this nonprofit will receive the “Judge’s Choice” donation of $2,500

The theme of the Somerville YMCA tree is “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year”.  The children of the YMCA childcare programs will be creating ornaments to be hung on the tree that describe their favorite time of the winter season.

Please stop by Assembly Row from December 1-31st to see our kid’s ornaments and to vote for our tree! 

The Y will have a table at this year’s Ice Sculpture Stroll which will be held on Thursday, December 9th from 6:00-8:00pm at Assembly Row.  For more information about the Ice Sculpture Stroll please visit Assembly Row’s website at:  https://assemblyrow.com/visit/events/
