The Somerville Y is a non-profit, health and human services organization committed to helping people reach their full potential in spirit, mind and body. YMCAs are here to serve people of all ages, backgrounds, abilities and incomes. The YMCA is community based and believes that its programs and services should be available to everyone.<\/p>\n
The funds available for\u00a0financial assistance\u00a0are made possible through the generosity of our members and donors in our annual fundraising campaign. The Y believes a strong sense of ownership and pride is developed if the recipient has contributed to the cost of their Y involvement; therefore, applicants will be asked to pay some portion of the fees.<\/p>\n
You will be asked to present a copy of your most recent tax return as well as verification of your present income and based on the information that you provide, a Y representative will assist you with determining your income-based rate. All the financial information shared with the Y will remain completely confidential.<\/p>\n
